What do you love most about your job?

As a data scientist at DISQO, I love taking ownership of my work, being embedded in cross functional teams, working directly with stakeholders and most importantly having supportive servant leaders who make sure that we reach our full potential and have a positive impact within the organization.

What does your ideal Saturday look like?

My ideal Saturday would involve cooking a delicious middle eastern meal, following an online course, and enjoying shopping while finding good deals.

What’s one of your favorite or proudest DISQO moments?

My proudest moment at DISQO is taking the fraud detection data science models to production as well as monitoring the fraud attacks getting caught in real-time! Huge efforts have been made to reach this stage; kudos to the Gangster Squad team for making this a reality. This initiative helps in catching fraudulent and suspicious behaviors in real-time and ensures the trust and safety of Survey Junkie!

What was the last TV show you binge watched?

‘La Casa de Papel’ (Money Heist): It has a unique plot full of twists, smart strategy, and planning.

What’s something most people don’t know about your role?

As a data scientist, I spend the majority of my time cleaning and preparing the data; yet the most interesting part is refining the models since they have the capacity of solving problems by giving predictions. Therefore my role requires me to take decisive decisions based upon the given predictions.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself!

I moved to the US just when the lockdown started back in March 2020. In fact, I booked the last available flight that was coming to the US. My flight was 35 hours and I booked it a few hours before the departure. AND HERE I AM :)
