CAMPAIGN : The GTI Project
The GTI Project provides virtual access to the working lab of a team of engineers who since 1974 have been remodelling the Golf GTI as a performance racer. The interactive site is based on an actual Scalextric track built inside a hangar by a team of 60 modellers. The set, occupying a space of 25 ft by 30ft, includes 200 scale buildings.
Disqo worked with DDB Tribal to create the racing game in which the user can race (and crash) a scale model of the new GTI. Disqo created all the video assets, seamlessly connecting the hero laps with "puppeted" crashes from two cameras. The video assets were then handed to DDB Tribal's programming team to add the interaction.
